Sinopse:
A história acompanha um garoto que sentia que vivia uma mentira todos os dias, mesmo que tivesse uma vida social boa. Certo dia ele acaba vendo uma pintura feita por uma das veteranas da sua escola, e acaba sendo tocado pela arte dela, mudando sua vida por completo e descobrindo que o mundo das artes vai muito além de desenhar.

1 - Awakening to the Joy of Painting
Life and priorities change for listless high schooler Yatora when he sees his classmates painting and discovers an appreciation and talent for art.
2 - He's Not Tanned At All
Yatora enters the art club. Over summer break he takes part in special training to improve his skills after switching his college choice to art school.
3 - Prep School Debut of the Dead
Yatora joins Yuka for extra lessons at Tokyo Art Institute. He has an artistic breakthrough when visiting a museum with his strange new classmates.
4 - Where Are We Headed?
TAIs night students join the intimidating afternoon classes to gear up for the next competition as the stress of art exams weigh on Yatoras friends.
5 - Helpless Even If I Know What To Do
As exams near, Oba intensifies training. Yatora struggles to articulate abstract concepts, so Saeki encourages him to use a larger canvas for fun.
6 - Serious Mental Breakdown
Yatora experiments with various tools to find a secret weapon that will boost his art while exam stress begins to wear on the students health.
7 - The Start of the First Exam
Oba tells Yatora his weakness, which sends him spiraling. But a heart-to-heart with a close friend reignites his confidence as the first exam begins!
8 - Brain-Racking
The first exam subject is self-portrait. A mishap gives Yatora the hint he needs; Oba takes the class to a museum before exam results are announced.
9 - Wandering Knife
Three move on to the second exam, including Yatora, who must master color. Yatora worries after Yuka gets a seedy job and refuses to go to art school.
10 - Our Color Blue
Yuka and Yatora head to Odawara and bare their souls and bodies, hoping to overcome their personal challenges with art and their surrounding fears.
11 - The Start of the Second Exam
After drawing his own body, Yatora is ready for the second exam: a nude model. But when his health declines from stress, Oba offers a secret weapon.
12 - When I Started to be Dyed in Color
The second exam is in full swing. Yatora struggles with illness and an unclear theme when sudden inspiration delivers answers and a final secret weapon.
